About MIBC

Strength and fitness have been shown to be important predictors of post-surgical outcomes for patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). Improving physical fitness prior to surgery has been shown to improve surgical outcomes and survival.

Goal: The purpose of this study is to explore the feasibility and efficacy of a 12-week, home-based exercise program in MIBC patients receiving chemotherapy and awaiting surgery.

Implications: This study will provide important information on how exercise might improve post-surgical outcomes.
